Gourmet Cooking Classes
Imagine yourself in a state-of-the art kitchen facility, preparing dishes with the finest food ingredients and tasting wines that match the cuisine of the class. Chefs Luisa Di Trapano and April Hamilton will teach you interesting techniques to sharpen your culinary skills, while weaving in tricks of the trade such as cooking shortcuts and proper knife techniques.
Cucina Luisa cooking classes are interactive and the number of participants limited so that each person can receive individual attention. The inspiration for many of Luisa's cooking classes comes from her extensive travels throughout the world. Her adventures in Thailand, for example, resulted in the development of two different Thai cooking classes---now in such demand that there's always a waiting list!
Classes begin at 6:00 p.m. sharp and last between three and four hours. Students need to bring a chef’s knife, filet knife, pairing knife, peeler, kitchen sheers and plastic containers for any leftovers. Parking is in the rear of the store.
Class and Cancellation Policies
Classes are participation style and are three to four hours long unless otherwise indicated. Instructors have the right to alter menus due to seasonal availability of ingredients. Space in each class is limited. If a class is full, your name may be placed on a waiting list. Cucina Luisa will refund tuition for cancellations made one week prior to class. We will do our best to fill your space if you must cancel. Otherwise, late cancellations are not refundable, but you will receive the class materials which include special articles and recipes.
